Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026

Speedup is a native macOS app sold by Serafin Sanchez (“I”, “me”). This policy explains what data the app and this website collect — and what they don’t.

The Mac app

Your videos stay on your Mac. Speedup processes files locally. It does not upload recordings, segment marks, or exports to any server. There is no account, no analytics, and no background network activity during normal editing or export.

The app saves editing progress as JSON sidecar files in ~/Library/Application Support/Speedup/ on your machine so your marks can be restored when you reopen a video. License status (if you purchased) is stored in the macOS Keychain on your device.

License activation (direct download only)

If you buy Speedup from this site, unlocking the app requires a one-time, user-initiated call to Polar.sh when you paste your license key. That request sends your key, a public organization ID embedded in the app, and a device label so Polar can bind the license to your Mac. Polar processes that request under Polar’s privacy policy. After activation, the app works fully offline.

This website

The marketing site at speedupvideo.com is a static Next.js app hosted on Vercel. It serves download information and product pages. I do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site.

When you download the app, Vercel logs standard hosting metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp) as part of serving the file. Vercel’s handling of that data is described in Vercel’s privacy policy.

Purchases are completed on Polar’s hosted checkout — I do not receive your payment card details. Polar shares order and license information needed to fulfill your purchase.

Support form

If you contact me through the support page, I collect the name, email address, subject, and message you submit so I can reply. That information is emailed to me and used only to respond to your request.

Children

Speedup is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

I may update this policy as the product or distribution channels change. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version.
